Energy Contractors Bring Holiday Cheer and Support to Maryland and Delaware Food Banks

Milton, DE – Dr. Energy Saver® Delaware aims to do more this holiday season than help homeowners save money on energy repairs and upgrades; they have a plan to help gather resources for the Food Bank of Delaware and the Maryland Food Bank to provide to local families in need.

Visiting many homes each day, Owner Dave Lawson’s team now has the opportunity to work with the homeowners to improve their home’s efficiency and comfort—but also help the local people in need. They will be receiving the donations from each homeowner they visit throughout the work week. Homeowners will be able to donate any number of cans. In addition, Dr. Energy Saver Delaware will make a $500 coupon available to those homeowners donating at least 20 cans to the food drive.

This being the franchise’s first food drive has made for a surge of motivation to do other like charitable endeavors throughout the year. Lawson and his team are very proud to be helping local families this holiday season.

“All the food collected during our Maryland and Delaware inspections will go to the respective Food Bank. So many charities nowadays give donations to people outside of the community. With the Food Banks, we know that the food will stay local and we are helping our neighbors in their time of need,” said Lawson.

Already thinking ahead, Lawson is talking with the food banks about donating a box truck to drive through the neighborhoods as the banks have their groups walk door to door with donations.
