Choptank Electric, Berlin Electric, A&N Electric, and Easton Utilities Get 50% Off Energy Costs!
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development has announced its intention to offer Energy Efficiency rebates to Choptank Electric Coop, Berlin Municipal Electric Plant, A&N Electric Cooperative, and Easton Utilities Customers. Rebates will be 50% up to $4250 off air sealing, insulation, air duct sealing and crawl space insulation. The program kick off is set to begin on May 21st, 2012.
The Be SMART Home Rebate Program offers incentives to homeowners up to $4250 to offset the cost of qualified energy efficiency improvements and products. A comprehensive home energy audit, also known as a home energy assessment, is required to participate in the Be SMART Home Rebate Program. Made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, rebates are available on a first come, first served basis to eligible individual family homes, and townhomes in Maryland.
Available to Maryland homeowners who are NOT eligible for the EmPOWER Maryland incentives as identified by your utility company. A comprehensive home energy audit by Dr. Energy Saver is required in order to take advantage of the Be SMART Rebate Program.
