Photo Album: Kneewall Insulation in Wilmington, DE
This album showcases a homeowners concerns about their home and how Dr. Energy Saver can solve their problems with a simple solution. The homeowner in Wilmington, DE wanted to have warmer rooms in the winter and cooler rooms in the summer while also improving the air quality within the home.
What was causing the homeowner to be uncomfortable in their home was their kneewall spaces.
A kneewall space is created when a finished room is built under a sloped roof. A kneewall creates a triangle shape and can be accessible with a short door. Cold air in the winter leaks from the kneewall into the room and warm air in the summer leaving it not suitable for storage.
Dr. Energy Saver's solution to kneewall spaces is SilverGlo Insulation. The production crew installs blocks of SilverGlo foam insulation between the ceiling joists. SilverGlo prevents any air going from the house to the kneewall or air coming from outside. The results are warmer rooms in the winter, cooler rooms in the summer, lower electric/fuel bills and the kneewall can be used for storage.
