Dryer Duct Cleaning in Millsboro, DE

You never know who, or what, is trying to get inside your home. Furthermore you never know where or how they are trying to come in.
This Millsboro, DE homeowner contacted Lawson Home Services to see what could be done to stop the birds and squirrels from trying to get into her home through her dryer vent. One bird managed to open the flap and found its way inside the duct and began building a nest deep inside. Unfortunately for both the homeowner and the bird, the bird eventually became trapped and died in there, leaving behind a huge mess.
Solution
Donnie Lonski, our duct clean out guy, started out by removing the flap and peering deep inside the ductwork. It was clear a bird had been inside and he began pulling out the sticks and debris, eventually coming across the carcass of the poor dead bird. But there were problems deeper inside. Part of the ductwork had been stuffed full and pulled apart. It was necessary for Donnie to replace part of the ductwork. Once the repairs were completed, Donnie finished off with the task of cleaning out the ductwork. And finally a "birdcage" was installed on the exterior opening to prevent any such unfortunate reoccurence.
