Camden Wyoming, DE Attic
As you can see, this attic is severely under insulated. Causing their bedrooms to be drafty.
Where is the insulation?
In some areas of the attic there was no insulation at all which would explain why the rooms below these areas were colder.
Camden Wyoming, DE Attic needs insulation!
Another area of the attic where no insulation has been installed.
How does the existing insulation measure up?
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the target R-Value (the ability to resist heat traveling through it) for attic insulation in our region should be a minimum of R38 and up to R60. As you can see, the parts of the attic that are insulated are still well under the recommendations.
A look at how much insulation this Camden Wyoming, DE attic should have
This is a photo in the beginning parts of installation. This photo depicts how much insulation this attic should have. Looking at the insulation rulers sticking out of the top of the cellulose pile you can see that we didn't just meet the R38 but met the R60 measurement giving this home optimal resistance.
R60 Achieved!
This photo is toward the end of installation and it is clear that R60 was achieved throughout the entire attic. This will eliminate inconsistent temperatures in the bedrooms below due to the previous insulation pattern that had existed.
