Removing Insulation in Salisbury, MD Crawl Space
This particular type of insulation crumbles when it has become damaged making it a more tedious and difficult task to remove than as some of the more standard types of insulation.
Installing Drainage Matting
All of the insulation has been removed and now the team is laying down the drainage matting. This is a necessary step in encapsulation for a wet or even damp crawl space. This matting will allow the water to flow below it while acting as a barrier between the dirt or concrete floor and the CleanSpace liner.
Sealing the Rim Joists
The Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva crew have air sealed the rim joists in this crawl space. This will prevent outside air from leaking into the home.
Insulating the Walls of the Crawl Space
The crew has installed SilverGlo foam board insulation to the walls of this crawl space for added comfort and protection from the outside elements. They have also begun to install the CleanSpace liner.
Encapsulation Success!
Here is a view of the finished product. The crew successfully removed all of the old insulation and replaced it with a state of the art encapsulation system.
