Before the Encapsulation Process
This photo captures the vented crawl space before the encapsulation process has begun. In the winter, vents let cold air directly into the home. Floor insulation sag away from the sub floor and the cold air gets above it causing the insulation to be useless. In the summer, the vents let warm air into the crawl space causing high humidity.

Drainage Matting Installation
Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva has begun installing drainage matting along the dirt floor of the crawl space. The drainage matting is dimpled to create air space for water to flow.
Sealing Off Vents
Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva has sealed off the vents with our insulated vent covers. . This allows no further air to leak from outside and into the crawl space.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
The crawl space has been encapsulated by Dr. Energy Saver Delmarva. First by installing SilverGlo along the walls, then drainage matting along the dirt floor and finalizing with CleanSpace liner.
