Home Insulation Services - Improper Radiant Barrier in Lewes, DE
This photo shows how a radiant barrier was improperly laid on top of the insulation above air leaks. The stack effect causes condensation to build on the underside of the radiant barrier, negating it's purpose. When installing a radiant barrier in an attic, air sealing should always be completed first, and the radiant barrier should always be installed on rafters and not on the floor.
