Manometer
This device reads air pressures resulting from leaking in the building shell. The aim of air sealing strategies is to reduce this number to the optimal amount based on the interior volume of the home
Blower Door Device
This device is used to pull a sucking on the house. Once a standard level of suction is reached (measure in units cals pascals) the machine measure the speed of the airflow needed to maintain that suction. This measurement is then directly correlated to the area, in square inches, of the all the little leaks as if they are added together.
Attic floor penetrations
One little hole isn't much. But when you add all of the many holes together you get a pretty big leak. These have to be sealed shut with expandable foam.
Unsealed Drywall tops
These run the entire length of every wall in the home. If not sealed they add up together to create a lot of energy loss., These have to be sealed with expandable foam.
