Home Insulation Services Photo Album: Comprehensive Energy Upgrades Save Bear Homeowner Money on Heating and Cooling

A homeowner in Bear, Delaware, aimed to reduce the costs of heating and cooling their home. Our team began by removing and disposing of the existing insulation and a ceiling fan, with an outside electrician terminating the electrical connection. We then air-sealed the attic floor using ZypFoam™ polyurethane, added R60 (17 inches) of TruSoft™ cellulose insulation, and sealed the chimney chase for optimal efficiency. Additional improvements included installing 4 inches of SilverGlo™, a SuperPlatform™ scuttle landing/insulation dam, and a David Lewis™ Hatch Cover. To address the home's foundation, we air-sealed the sill plate and applied closed-cell spray foam to the rim joist.   By utilizing both the Energize Delaware rebate and the Preferred Customer Discount, the homeowner significantly reduced costs while enhancing their home's comfort and energy efficiency.
