Homeowners in Snow Hill, Maryland noticed their home was starting to become uncomfortable as the summer season approached. After Observing the inside of the attic, it was concluded that they did not have enough insulation that would be efficient enough to keep their home comfortable.
Dr. Energy Saver came out and did a further inspection and ensured the homeowners that the lack of insulation was the biggest factor in the uncomfortable house. We then came back out with our production crew and sealed any air penetration inside of the attic and then insulated it above the average.
The homeowners now experience a comfortable home year around and were more than pleased of the results from Dr. Energy Saver!
Homeowner's in Millsboro, MD needed there dirty and dank crawl space upgraded! Dr. Energy Saver removed the old insulation and tarp and replaced it with drainage matting, SilverGlo insulation and CleanSpace. Now, the crawl space is clean and dry all thanks to Dr. Energy Saver.
“We fix uncomfortable homes!” That is our motto. Sometimes our projects are large and sometimes they are small. In this case the homeowner just couldn’t stand the draft coming from their closet because of their drop down attic stairs. Their home was a 10 out of 10 if not for this area.
A shot with a thermal imaging camera showed us that cold air was seeping down into the home and unnecessarily so.
We installed one of our David Lewis Hatch Covers. With an R-Value (resistance to heat flow) of R20 this light weight cover will prevent that cold air flow in the winter.
Radiant barrier installed properly can lower the temperature in the attic, but if installed on the floor it can cause issues like condensation and in a short time become ineffective due to damage and dust. Here is another great radiant barrier job completed by the Dr. Energy Saver Team in Lewes, Delaware.
The radiant barrier installed in this Lewes, Delaware home was not installed properly. Radiant Barriers installed on the floor loose efficiency shortly after installation. This Lewes homeowner called Dr. Energy Saver to remove the radiant barrier and insulate with blown fiberglass to the recommended Energy Star level for Delaware.
