Home Insulation Services - Exposed Cantilever
Once the vinyl soffit is taken down the cantilever is exposed. Inadequate insulation that does not completely fill each joist bay does little to stop the flow of air from entering the house. Here you can see the cracks that would allow air to leak in creating a cold floor for the room above and a cold ceiling for the room below it.
